About me

My name is James Harvey. I’m a freelance videographer, photographer and editor presently based in Portugal and Dubai, UAE.

Traveling extensively throughout my life has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and capture a variety of street, landscapes, portrait and aerial images. Being able to blend in and capture these journeys along side new cultures have in turn formed a foundation for my work.

Working in Dubai has taught me to appreciate various forms of video and photo outside of travel. Specializing in moving images for the digital market space. Lifestyle, Food and Beverage, Events, Corporate Interviews, Sports, Music and various arts. This has allowed me learn and expand my skill set for video creation.

Drone enthusiast. Flew recently for a documentary project coming soon. Personally invested in drone work for my own reels and other creations.

2020 Dubai Ocean Film Festival winner for Best Cinematography on my short film “No Rice No Power.”

I worked in an agency called Tactical Digital Agency. Their clients consist of Jumeirah Group, Dr Apa Aesthetics, Asahi, Azure Beach, Four Seasons, House of Negroni, Jameson, Le-Clos, OFIS and Weber BBQ’s.
